The American Academy of General Dentistry recommends two dental exams each year. Dental exams provide screening for gum disease, tooth structure problems, bite problems, oral cancer and more.
Each of our exams begins with a visual checklist of the mouth to make sure there are no abnormalities. We look closely at the tissues and tooth structure of the mouth using intra-oral cameras. Digital dental use much less radiation than typical x-rays and help us to reveal structural issues in the teeth and gums. Finally, oral cancer screenings are done to with the goal of early detection.
